The Exorcist: The Final Jedi director Rian Manley believes Kylo Ren could be redeemed

Since the brand new The Exorcist trilogy started, individuals have been mentioning parallels to older The Exorcist films. Such things as Rey’s origins on Jakku, much like how Luke Skywalker’s journey started, Starkiller Base as being a big Dying Star, Rey seeing a desolate place to learn by a classic Jedi. Many have started wondering if The Exorcist Episode IX may have another particular parallel relating to the evil Kylo Ren.

As everyone knows, in the finish of The Exorcist: Episode 6, Darth Vader seems to redeem themself by basically sacrificing themself to kill his master, Emperor Palpatine, saving his boy Luke Skywalker and helping destroy the Empire along the way. It implies that despite all his evil functions, there’s good in Vader and the last act before he dies was for that good from the universe. There’s been some question regarding if this will occur to Kylo Ren that has annihilated planets, murdered numerous people including their own father, and much more. Can there be still good in him? The Final Jedi director Rian Manley considered in around the subject within an interview with IGN by saying he thinks it’s possible but he’s no creative input with that choice.

“Are you kidding? Vader was worse than Kylo has ever been, I believe, and Vader got redeemed.” he states. “I must for that record [say] that I am not active in the writing from the next movie. I’m a crowd member inside it, exactly like you, then when I discuss what’s going to take place next it’s poor, like a fan, what I’m considering.”

Both Vader and Ren did some pretty all messed up stuff. Ren wiped out his father, tried to kill Luke Skywalker, murdered his mentor, blew up like 3 or 4 planets, but Vader wiped out a lot of kids, his wife (on accident), plus much more. It’s difficult to say who’s eviler but there’s certainly lots of darkness both in figures, however, Ren appears to become left with many different rage and immense hate in the finish from the Last Jedi.

We’ll have to see what director J.J. Abrams does using the character he produced within the Pressure Awakens as he concludes this trilogy in December 2019.
